Ducati motorcycles history

In 1926, Adriano and Marcello Ducati founded a company that specializes not on motorcycles, but also the production of radio components. During the war they turned their attention to the electronic equipment. This made her a target plant for the Allied bombings, but in spite of frequent, serious injury, they could remain in production. In 1950, Ducati started his first motorcycle, which was based on the already well established for Cucciolo engine. This engine, developed by Aldo Farinelli, was originally established as a strap to push the motor to a bike. By the time he took Ducati, 200,000 units were produced. This is the first institution Ducati 200 is capable of 40mph and the MPG and weighed 98 pounds. These bikes were badged as 55m or 65TL.

The post-war economic growth of more money for the Italians’ pockets and they need something more complex, so that in the Milan show in 1952 the company introduced the 65TS and the cruiser, which was in the first four-stroke scooter in the world. Unfortunately, the public does not embrace the idea of Ducati, as expected, and the model was withdrawn in the next year, with sales barely achieve in 2000 mark. This time, Ducati still make electronic equipment, so it was decided to divide the company, and Ducati Elettronica SpA was established in accordance with separate management.
